Our automotive fillers are designed to rebuild and level damaged bodywork before priming, so your repair finishes flush with the surrounding panel. Whether you’re dealing with a small dent, a deep scratch or pinholes left after sanding, the right filler gives your primer and colour-matched paint a smooth, solid surface to sit on.

We stock two types of filler for DIY and trade repairs. U-POL Easy 1 Body Filler is a two-part filler for dents and deeper damage, supplied in a 440ml pack with hardener included. Lechler Spat-O-Rapid 1K Stopper is a ready-to-use fine filler in a 150g tube, ideal for small scratches, pinholes and minor surface imperfections.

Body Filler or 1K Stopper?

• Body Filler – for small dents and deeper damage that needs building up, shaping and sanding back to the original panel profile.
• 1K Stopper – for fine scratches, pinholes and light imperfections, including those left in body filler after sanding. No mixing required. Not suitable for dents or deep damage.

Many repairs use both: body filler to rebuild the shape, followed by a thin skim of stopper to close any pinholes before priming.

How to Use

1. Prepare – Sand the damaged area to remove loose paint and rust and give the surface a key, then clean it with panel wipe to remove grease, wax and silicone.
2. Mix and apply – Mix body filler with its hardener following the instructions on the pack, then spread it in thin, firm layers using a filler applicator. Stopper can be applied straight from the tube.
3. Shape and sand – Once cured, shape the repair with coarser abrasives and refine with finer grits until it is level with the panel. Always wear a dust mask when sanding filler.
4. Prime – Remove all sanding dust with a tack rag, then apply primer before your colour-matched paint and lacquer.
